“Holistic” (or integrative) veterinary medicine is the combined use of conventional and alternative (or complementary) medicine. It differs from conventional veterinary medicine in that it takes a more natural and common sense approach to your pet’s healthcare. It acknowledges the capacity of the body to heal on its own if we remove the impediments to healing. Through proper nutrition, regular daily care, avoidance of chemical toxins, and minimization of emotional stress the body’s own immune system becomes strengthened, enabling the body to heal itself and be fortified against possible disease. It avoids the overuse or common misuse of many drugs, antibiotics, steroids, artificial chemicals, vaccinations, and other treatments.
We treat each pet patient as an individual, prescribing only what he or she needs. Our holistic veterinarians are trained in many different modalities and treat mostly with physical treatments, proper diet, natural whole-food and herbal dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, formulas from the ancient Chinese, Ayurvedic and Western herbal traditions, Bach Flower emotional remedies, essential oils and homeopathic remedies. Physical treatments include VOM chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture therapy, ozone therapy, cold laser therapy (LLLT), and Reiki, among other treatments. We recommend regular check-ups and blood tests to help us keep your pet on track and in balance.
We see dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles at our clinic and are available for house calls as well. In Northern New Jersey, we do Equine barn calls for acupuncture, chiropractic and cold laser therapy.

I have 3 adorable Havanese dogs, a mom and a son and a daughter. They are 14, 12 and 11 years old. The middle dog, Romeo, had a shaking of his right hind leg that was worsening over the past couple of years.
I looked for acupuncture/chiropractic for dogs and found Dr. Mini. The wonderful thing is that she makes House Calls!! Romeo reacted very well to meeting this lovely Dr. as she began his treatment. She did both acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments to Romeo.
He responded within minutes as shown by his relaxed state as she worked on him. When all finished Dr. Mini put Romeo on the floor and he began walking as he used to. No more shaking of his right hind leg!
I cannot tell you how rapidly he responded to this 1st treatment. We continued with a few more visits until I had to go away for a month. I am so happy to have met Dr. Mini and appreciate the good work she did for Romeo. I recommend her highly.
Veterinarians were very kind and knowledgeable
Dr. Hirsch is amazing. She has a very caring bedside manner. She cared for our 15 year old Ragdoll, Henry for two years until he passed away this past February from cancer. She is very well trained and accomplished in pet accupuncture and chiropractic techniques. Dr. Hirsch made Henry's last days as comfortable as we could have. She now cares for his sister Katie who somehow hurt her back and had a liver infection. Katie is doing much better thanks to Dr Hirsch!!!
They were very caring for my wife and I when when The family dog passed away. They took care of all the details including cremation
Amazing!! Love Dr Hirsch ❤ she changed the quality of life for my pup...shes amazing
