Longevity Veterinary Center is a new, state-of-the-art veterinary facility located in Whippany, NJ. Our comprehensive facility offers NJ's premier integrative veterinary center, an emergency hospital, our own Longevity Raw pet food, grooming services, and more!

Our wellness practice has been operating for more than 35 years as Holistic Pet Care. We offer conventional veterinary care, including spay and neuter surgery, internal medicine, vaccinations, diagnostics and imaging, and much more. We also believe that well and sick care is enhanced by having available the very best tools from all of medicine - conventional and holistic. As such, we offer an extensive range of holistic treatment options for your pets including: chiropractic, acupuncture, herbal and homeopathic medicine, BEMER, microbiome restorative therapy (MBRT), vitamin C infusion, cold laser therapy, ozone therapy, and much more!

Meet Our Team

Dr. Gerald Buchoff, BVScAH

Veterinarian
Dr. Buchoff received his pre-vet B.S. degree and an M.S. in Immunology from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (BVScAH) from G.B. Pant University in India. He has completed numerous courses in alternative modalities including homeopathy, Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (chiropractic), acupuncture, glandular nutritional therapy, cold laser therapy, and Reiki. Before opening up Holistic Pet Care, PA, Dr. Buchoff owned and operated North Bergen Animal Hospital in North Bergen, NJ for almost 20 years. Professionally, Dr. Buchoff served four years as President of the Northern New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and more recently as Vice President and President of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (2002-2006). You may see him on reruns of The Pet Stop (New 12 NJ-TV), which he hosted for 50 episodes. He has been featured in newspapers, magazines, and on television and radio.

Dr. Lisa Fiorenza, DVM

Integrative Veterinarian
Dr. Lisa Fiorenza received her Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University- Cook College, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2014. She went on to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, and has worked as a general practitioner in NYC for the past 8 years. Dr. Fiorenza is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Chinese Veterinary Food Therapy, as well as Fear Free pet handling. She is currently working on her certification in Veterinary Western Herbal Medicine. Her professional interests include Chinese acupuncture and herbal therapy, myofascial work, and immune system dysfunction. She is on the board of directors for the cat rescue organization Brooklyn Animal Action. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, weight lifting, crafting, and spending time with her handsome cat Regis and silly pittie Amelia Earhart.

Dr. Rohini Tirumala Sathish

Holistic Integrative Veterinarian
Dr. Rohini Tirumala Sathish BVSC & AH MSC MRCVS MHAO MCIVT is an award winning, highly experienced Holistic Integrative Veterinarian and a Qualified Animal Healer. She has a proven 21yr track record as a successful Veterinary surgeon and popular clinician in both the United Kingdom and India. She regularly appears on Global Television and radio, answering questions on pet health and animal welfare. She qualified as a Veterinary surgeon from a reputed university in Southern India. During her graduation, she was awarded the “Best Lady Veterinarian” prize and gold medals in recognition of her academic excellence. Due to Rohini’s ardent desire to better the welfare of stray dogs, she worked as Humane Education Officer and Veterinarian for an Animal Welfare Charity called Compassion Unlimited Plus Action in Bangalore, which was founded by Crystal Rogers.

BARB KEEFE

Practice Manager
'Barb' had been managing animal hospitals for over 10 years; and she is bringing that experience and organization to our little clinic. Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Management/marketing from Kean University; she hopes to make a difference for the veterinary staff so they can provide optimal care for the patients. When not managing and organizing the staff, she spends her time travelling across the world from places across Europe, Russia, Mexico, Canada and the Article Circle. Her motto is, "always do your best. That's all you can do."

Douglas Roberts

Controller
Doug oversees all of our financial and accounting systems. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and spent many years working in the jewelry industry. Doug strives to be a productive member of our team. He is an animal lover and a commercial glider pilot. His catch-phrase is "it is what it is."

Sarah Weinberg

Office Manager
Sarah Weinberg is an essential part of our office whose main job is behind the scenes. When it comes to managing business affairs and keeping things stocked, she the go-to person. Although she supports our growing clinic, she has a wide range of experience thanks to her Bachelors and Masters degree in Anthropology and Archaeology, travelling with her family or enjoying some nice literature near a fireplace. Through her many experiences, she always comes back to the medical field because of her love of animals.

ANGEL TORRES

Veterinary Technician
Angel came to us in 2020 and has been a young, shining star in the clinic. He keeps an open mind to absorb everything the Doctors and clients have to offer as he considers continuing his education in veterinary medicine. When not being the Doctor’s or Stephanie’s right hand man; he’s relaxing back home, playing games or snuggling with his rabbit Penelope, a 5 month old Dutch rex mix.

Geri Weinberg

Vice President, Human Resources and Business Operations Longevity Veterinary Center
Geri is a Global Human Resources professional, successful as an employee relations champion and talent acquisition business partner, optimizing our greatest asset: our employees. She has years of demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding talent acquisition and retention goals in pet nutrition and veterinary medicine, lean manufacturing, life sciences, agriculture, quality certification, electrical and industrial distribution, cosmetics and consumer products, IT, healthcare, insurance, nonprofit and financial business arenas, delivering results with a sense of urgency and cost effectiveness consistent with company values and strategy.

IshaMarie Valentine

Receptionist/Veterinary Technician
“Isha,” is new to the veterinary world; but like her personality, takes on any new challenges and experiences with high spirits and a big smile. Starting in 2020, she quickly excelled as a receptionist and has begun cross-training as a vet tech to expand her awareness in the field. Before coming to HPC, she obtained her personal training certification at the American Sports & Fitness Association (ASFA) and was a personal trainer in her local area. She hopes to one day own and operate her own body sculpting and health business to provide for herself and her daughter Zayla.

Kristen Cappucio

Receptionist
Kristen has always been an animal lover, she has been part of our Holistic Pet Care family for 6 years. She is married, has two adult children and soon to be a grandmother. She currently has 4 four-legged kids, cats Felix, Cheech, and Daisy the pooch.

Monae Murphy

Veterinary Technician
Monae Murphy is a unique and pleasant addition to our team. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Tuskegee University in Alabama, she has traveled great distances to expand her knowledge so she may one day become a veterinarian with her own practice. She spends her downtime crafting various DYI projects, bonding with her great dane-assuie mix Apollo, and studying animal nutrition to achieve her dream of making her own pet treats. Monae came to us amid the pandemic and has been an angel enlightening the staff to new crafts and nutrition facts.

SABILA NAZIM

Receptionist
Sabila graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in psychology. She hopes to become a therapist in the future. She has always had an immense love for animals and is thrilled to be working in an environment where she is constantly surrounded by our furry friends. Her favorite movie is “Hachi” a dog tale (which she highly recommends for everyone) and in her spare time, she enjoys hiking, going to the city, baking desserts and spending quality time with our house cat Thirteen. Sabila has been part of our family team for 3 years and we are so glad to have her.

Shernella Gaya

Receptionist
Shernella came to us when she adopted her lovely Shih Tzus Hope and Indie. Shernella studied Business Management and Leadership from the University of the West Indies, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2014. She is currently studying to be a Canine Nutritionist and Behaviorist in hopes of opening a pet boutique, offering a variety of pet goods and services. When not dedicating her time to her lovely puppies and studying, she is embracing life by going on hikes, practicing yoga, meditation and taking long walks. She lives her life by the mantra, “too blessed to be stressed,” and “discipline is key.”

Stephanie Fernandez-Corredor

Head Technician
Stephanie has always been passionate about animals. She began working hands-on at Petsmart as a PetCare Lead for the past 6 years. Stephanie joined our team 5 years ago. She received her degree in biology and will go on to pursue a degree as a Veterinarian. Stephanie is a mom of beautiful twin girls Anna and Amy and expecting a beautiful baby boy in May 2020. Stephanie also enjoys her time and taking long walks with her 2 dogs Jaxson and Bella, and also gives her love and attention to her leopard gecko who she truly adores. Stephanie has accomplished and worked hard to be one of our leaders as the technician.

Shannen Llamas

Veterinary Technician
Shannen is a little shy at first, but one of the friendliest technicians at HPC. She is always offering to lend a hand or take on more responsibility to relief her co-workers. Her busy nature extends back home where she spends her time painting landscapes and attending Penn Foster to obtain her veterinary technician license. With her degree, she wishes to continue her education to one day work at a zoo or become an illustrator. When she does have free time, she spends it with her shiba inu, Nanuk.

Rob Giambra

Veterinary Technician
Always a crowd favorite, this life-sized teddy bear greets everyone with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Rob graduated top of his class in a medical assistant school. He has since worked in nursing homes, physical therapy and dialysis. Rob has always had a real love for animals and jumped at the chance to help out our four-legged friends. Rob is a man of strong faith, compassion, and kindness. He is also hilarious, Rob loves to make people laugh. He prides himself on being a great teammate and overall joy to be around. Rob is also an aspiring children’s book author and songwriter. He enjoys traveling with his lovely wife and has 2 wonderful cats. Although he has been with us for a short time we are excited to have him be part of our family team.
