My husky, Nymeria, has been seeing Dr. B and some of the other vets at Longevity for a couple years now. She was three at the time and experienced lameness that seemed to occur sporadically. She had seen various vets, an orthopedic surgeon, and a neurologist before Longevity and no one could diagnose her. The recommendation was to have her on anti-inflammatory meds each time she limped. I didn’t want Nymeria on meds the rest of her life and knew there had to be a better solution. The lameness would always return, sometimes for weeks at a time. I was very concerned and desperate to alleviate her pain. When I brought her to Longevity, the team did extensive bloodwork and tried various holistic treatments, from chiropractic appts to physical therapy and adding omega 3s and other supplements to her diet. Over time, her lameness improved drastically and I’m happy to say it rarely happens now. Nymeria still gets stiff but I am grateful to Longevity for providing solutions that ultimately relieved her symptoms. During her physical this week, Dr. B said she is “the picture of health.” After being very concerned for her for a couple years, I was so happy to hear those words and to hear that she is doing well. Thank you Dr. B and the Longevity team for your care and support!!!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gerard Buchoff for care of our dog, Ellie. His home services were a blessing. He treated Ellie with the utmost care and compassion- we felt he truly was a godsend in her final days. He was patient, personable, kind- one of the best bedside manners, if not the best, we've had with a veterinarian. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything well, responding to any questions and concerns we had. He gave honest information regarding the time frame she had left and his prognosis was correct. When we had to put her to rest in home, it was done in the most humane and peaceful way. We can’t thank Dr. Buchoff enough for making this typically hard situation as easy on our family as possible. We are so grateful and blessed to have had him care for her.
I’ve had an increasingly difficult time finding a vet I felt I meshed with. In the past 5 years I’ve become more educated in nutrition and alternative care and most traditional vets are about pushing medication and terrible kibble - so vets who continued education after vet school and who enjoy alternative medicine are harder to find. That being said, after my first visit with Dr. Buchoff at Longevity, I finally felt happy and knew that I found my new vet. Their facility is IMMACULATE, their technology is top notch (they offer services like acupuncture, chiro, light therapy, stem cell therapy, non anesthetic dentistry, reiki, oxygen therapy, etc), they do surgeries in a beautiful surgery center, they treat exotic animals, and… they’re not owned by corporate or private equity. Dr. Buchoff actually spent time with us and I never felt rushed, unheard, or dismissed. I work VERY hard to do (what I consider) to be the best for my dogs, and I was so happy I found a professional who saw that, and encouraged good nutrition and didn’t push over vaccination and unnecessary medication. Having a vet who offers traditional AND alternative medicine, in my opinion, is the best you can ask for. If you’re reading this bc you’re thinking about either changing your current vet, or looking for one for a new dog, I HIGHLY suggest you stop after this and make an appointment. I promise, coming from a person with high standards when it comes to my vet, you will not be disappointed.
Yay! We found our Vet and home for my dog baby (8 years young) at Longevity Veterinary Center. Options for authentically aware and natural (for reals) Vets who understand what clean life giving wellness is about- is not so easy to find these days. We were driving 2 hours each way to stay with our trusted vet and that was not sustainable. Thank goodness we found Dr. B and Longevity Veterinary Center! The time they took to get to know Icy and learn who he is, the knowledge and resources for natural care, and Chiropractic on top of it, I feel sooooo grateful and grounded knowing we've found our new Vet, and Wellness Care home. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new or legit for real holistic Vet, don't pause! Dr Buchoff is amazing!
