Longevity Veterinary Center is searching for full-time experienced Emergency Veterinary Technicians for our brand-new state of the art veterinary practice located in Whippany, NJ. It's a perfect overnight opportunity for those night owl vet technicians!

The Veterinary Technician facilitates client and patient care and assists our veterinarians in their emergency clinical responsibilities. Our Emergency Veterinary Technicians assist in stabilizing the critical patient.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities Include:
  • Takes vital signs
  • Catheter placement
  • Radiology
  • Anesthesia Monitoring
  • Perform venipuncture
  • Surgical preparation and patient recovery
  • Laboratory samples
  • Pharmacy
  • Treatments such as intravenously, orally and subcutaneously

What You'll Bring:
Must have at least 2-3 years minimum of Emergency Veterinary Technician experience, comfortable with critical care for sick and injured animals.
  • Experience in Avimark software, and/or willing to learn the new state of the art veterinary software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A caring, compassionate, "can-do" attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Team focused willingness to ask, “how may I help” both clients and colleagues.
  • High school graduate or equivalency is required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on feet all day/night.
